A snagging list you can share with your builder
Make a checklist, send the link to your builder or decorator, and anyone on it can add items and tick them off. Everyone gets an email when something changes.

- Share the link by text, WhatsApp or email. Each person confirms their own email the first time they open it.
- Anyone on the list can add items and tick them off. Every change is logged with who made it.
What to put on a snagging list
Walk round each room in daylight once the work is finished and note anything that is not right yet. Write one snag per item and say where it is, like "Hall: skirting chipped by the front door". Short, specific items are quicker to fix and easier to tick off.
Kitchen
- Cupboard doors that do not line up or close flush
- Gaps in the sealant along the back of the worktop
- Scuffs on fresh paint where units went in
Bathroom
- Silicone missing or lifting around the bath or tray
- Chipped tile edges or patchy grout lines
- Extractor fan that is noisy or not pulling air
Decorating
- Paint on sockets, switches or skirting boards
- Patchy coverage on ceilings once the light hits them
- Wallpaper seams lifting or not matching
Around the house
- Doors that stick, drag or will not latch
- Missing socket covers or blanking plates
- Leftover materials or rubbish still on site

Questions about shared checklists
Is the shared checklist really free?
Yes. A list holds up to 100 items for free. If you need more, create a PaidProper account with the same email address and the limit is lifted.
Does my builder need an account?
No. They open your link, enter their email and type in the 6-digit code we send them. After that the link just opens the list on that device.
Who can see my checklist?
Only people who have the link and have confirmed their email with a code. Shared lists are kept out of search results.
Will everyone get an email every time something is ticked off?
No. Changes are gathered into one email once the list has been quiet for 15 minutes, and nobody is emailed about their own changes. Every email has a link to turn them off.
How long is my checklist kept?
A list nobody has touched for 12 months is deleted, along with its history. Lists linked to a PaidProper account are kept.
